Let it be…
Life has taught me that acceptance is one of the most important ways of maintaining my mental health.
Try taking a deep breath in through the nose to the count of 3, holding for 2, and gently breathing out through the nose to the count of 5, then pausing to say “let it be“. Repeat a couple of times until your inner world feels calmer.
This doesn’t mean giving into things you don’t feel comfortable about, but just allows the brain to become clearer and calmer so that you can choose to act wisely. It’s especially helpful if you tend towards taking more than your fair share of responsibility for things.
